Guild Ranks/Structure

Guild Master – The Guild Master is the guild leader who is responsible for the overall success of the guild, the environment and “feel” of the guild, and the running of the guild.

Grand Templar – The Grand Templar is the second in command.  In any extended absence of the Guild Master, the Grand Templar essentially takes on the duties of the Guild Master.

Overseer – The Overseer is a traditional officer position.  The Overseer helps maintain order, uphold all rules and regulations, and settle any guild disputes.
Additional benefits for being an Overseer:
  • All Rights and benefits of a Templar.
  • Overseer will have full access to all officer chats and officer forums.
Initiator – The initiator is a recruitment officer position.  The Initiator is responsible for scouting potential members, helping those potential members apply to the guild, evaluation of all applicants, and the initiation of all recruits.
Additional benefits for being an Initiator:
  • All rights and benefits of a Templar.
  • Initiator will have full access to all officer chats and officer forums.
Inquisitor – The Inquisitor is an advising, forum/website moderator, and guild event officer position.  The Inquisitor listens to the wants, suggestions, and/or complaints of the guild members, organizes guild events, and helps moderate the forums/website.
Additional benefits for being an Inquisitor:
  • All rights and benefits of a Templar.
  • Inquisitors will have full access to all officer chats and officer forums.
High Templar – The High Templar is the main squad and team leader for RvR and Raiding events.  During difficult and key battles, the High Templar will take control of field operations and lead units to eventual success.
Additional benefits for being a High Templar:
  • All rights and benefits of a Templar.
  • Though not an officer, High Templars will have access to officer chat and officer forums.
Templar – The Templar is a high ranking, time-honored member who has reached a pinnacle point in the game and has been with the guild for an adequate period of time.
Additional benefits for being a Templar:
  • All rights and benefits of a Crusader.
  • Depending on their performance as Crusaders, certain Templars will be permanent squad/group leaders on the RvR battlefield—as well as leaders for special events and the like.
  • Other Templars will be observers and advisors; they will give input to the officers of the guild pertaining the wants and needs of the member base (as well as any observations that are noticed and important).
  • Members at this level and above who may retire from WAR are always welcomed back to Lāčplēsis at their original retired rank… These retirees will be given the status Lāčplēsis Emeritus—though off the roster “in game” they will always be on the roster here at the website.
Crusader – The Crusader is a mid ranking member who has reached a mid to high level in the game and has been with the guild for a reasonable period of time.
Additional benefits for being a Crusader:
  • All rights and benefits of a Sentinel.
  • Crusaders will begin to be introduced to leadership-type positions (squad/group leaders on the RvR battlefield, special event leaders, etc).
  • Crusaders will be watched, tested, and evaluated in their leadership skills for duties at higher ranks.
Sentinel – The Sentinel is standard ranking member who has reached a low to mid level in the game and has spent an acceptable amount of time progressing beyond the initial recruitment rank.
Additional benefits for being a Sentinel:
  • All rights and benefits of an Acolyte.
  • Sentinels have access to the Higher Guild discussion forums.
  • Sentinels are no longer on a trial membership status.
Acolyte – The Acolyte is a trial membership position where all new persons to the guild and recruits remain until promoted to a Sentinel.  Members in this position receive supportive assistance by Initiators.
Additional benefits for being an Acolyte:
  • Acolytes have access to Guild discussion forums.
  • Acolytes can submit news articles for the front page (All submissions will be reviewed by officers before they are posted).
Lāčplēsis Emeritus – The Lāčplēsis Emeritus is a time-honored, respected member of Lāčplēsis.  When those with a rank Templar and higher retire from WAR, they will be given the status Lāčplēsis Emeritus.
Additional benefits for being an Lāčplēsis Emeritus:
  • Lāčplēsis Emeritus members are always welcomed back to Lāčplēsis at their original retired rank.
  • Though off the roster “in game,” Lāčplēsis Emeritus members will always be on the roster here at the website.
  • Lāčplēsis Emeritus members will always have access to Guild and Higher Guild discussion forums.
