Promotions! Demotions! Officer Opening!

Hello Everyone,

Well, first off I’d like to say that this guild has been maturing into an amazing community. Sure, we’ve had a few people go inactive, but we’ve gathered and replaced them with more skilled and better quality members. I am honored to be involved with such amazing people.

Also, we have a couple prospective members in the making (Goose, Sin, Endy) that are truly top notch in every way. Whether they end up staying or not, they will always be friends of Lāčplēsis. Thank you, guys, for taking the time to participate in our community. I truly hope you are here to stay, but if you’re not, you’re always welcome to come by at your choosing.

We have some important announcements to make!!!

Promotions

First, Rayn is being promoted to Grand Templar, which is essentially my second in command. The next few months are going to be very busy for me which will prohibit me from trolling the forums 24/7. He is going to help me with most everything except for the Website Admin stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I will still be here, but he will play a much more active duty.

Kyssea is being promoted to Inquisitor, which is essentially taking the place of Rayn’s current position.

Inquisitor – The Inquisitor is an advising, forum/website moderator, and guild event officer position. The Inquisitor listens to the wants, suggestions, and/or complaints of the guild members, organizes guild events, and helps moderate the forums/website.

She will be helping considerably with organizing events, contacting other guilds to initiate friendly competitions, etc. Help keep the community active and happy. Also, if any of you have issues, or problems, she is there to help work them out.

Demotions/Gkick.

I will be demoting Glorybeard to Acolyte as he has gone inactive. If anyone can get in touch with him, please do… harass him and tell him to stop by and say “hello!”.

Dr_Boombeard has been inactive for quite some time unfortunately. It’s time to cut him loose.

Looking for Officer

I am currently looking for an officer to take the position of Initiator.

Initiator – The initiator is a recruitment officer position. The Initiator is responsible for scouting potential members, helping those potential members apply to the guild, evaluation of all applicants, and the initiation of all recruits.

Though this position becomes a very key role once the game is live, I want this position filled now so that everyone works together in harmony and all the “kinks” can be worked out.

Because we are not “in game” now, this role will essentially be helping contact new recruits, showing them the ropes, help bump the recruitment forums, add the “pending/denied/accepted” post to an application. You are essentially the recruit go-to person. Also, you are responsible for helping moderate the forums.

If you are interested, please PM me. Because I am forgetful, could you please tell me what other in-game leadership roles you’ve participated in? Do you think you can stay with this position for a very long period of time? Any other thoughts/suggestions/questions/comments?

I may not make a decision for a month or two. So please don’t be disappointed if you do not hear from me for a while. This offer also extends to any recruits that we may have between now and when I make my decision. Also, please know that just because I don’t choose you doesn’t mean that I don’t think you have what it takes. It’s a personal decision; and one in which I need to see who I think will best fit.

These officer positions will most likely grow as the guild grows (more officers), so please know that this is not the only time that we will be extending this offer.

Also I encourage all of you to feel free to make front page news by clicking on the “Submit News” link on the main left hand sidebar (remember this is only accessible to members). Front page news can range from WAR news, to other game news, to random news. (if you want special color coding or sizes, you need to edit the source by using the “span” html tag).

Congratulations are in order for the both of you, Rayn and Kyssea...do I have to salute and say "Yes Sir/Yes Ma'am" or "No Sir/No Ma'am" now? ;) /salute

As always I am thankful and very flattered for and by your compliments VW, and the warm friendly welcome will forever be appreciated if I am unable to play Order! I extend my friendship of course to any and all Lāčplēsis members as well.

Grand Templar sounds incredibly kickass, and from my little time that I have been around this community I cannot think of any better candidate then my fellow ass kicking Runepriest Rayn! By the way best of luck finishing out your final semester, and smoothing out your transition into the real world VW. I have faith that you will succeed even more than you expect and will have a great time doing it.

Congratulations to Kyssea too for the well deserved promotion. I know that you will be a fantastic forum moderator, judging from your forum activity and know-how with the workings of a forum...if that makes sense, oh well. You better setup a bake sale event where we can bake muffins! ;)

As for Glorybeard and Doctor Boombeard, it is quite a shame that they have been and/or will be missing out on the great festivities and conversations that go on here. Needless to say they will miss a great opportunity to excel in every aspect of WAR via Lāčplēsis. I will cross my fingers that they are just taking a short break.

Hmm, that Initiator position looks pretty enticing...especially considering my experiences as a recruitment officer in my PotBS Beta guild. Although I will save my PM for when or if I am actually a member of the guild. There is no point in creating unnecessary competition for the position. Good luck all that are interested! :)
